    Dr. Malcolm's principal research interests are in the area of medication treatment development for multiple addictive agents including alcohol, cocaine and marijuana. He also has a research interest in eating behaviors, especially obesity and binge eating disorders. Dr. Malcolm is a principal investigator currently funded by the NIH to study a medication to block marijuana addiction and to study a drug to prevent relapse to cocaine addiction. He is also funded by private pharmaceutical companies to evaluate drugs to prevent relapse in schizophrenia and is evaluating a medication for treatment resistant depression.
